Welcome to Stride Counseling!

We know how you feel. If you’re struggling with your relationship with food, your body, or feeling stuck in compulsive behaviors, you’re not alone and you’re not broken. We’ve worked with hundreds of athletes and individuals with eating disorders and OCD, and we know how overwhelming it can be to try to manage it on your own.

Over time, our clients feel more in control, more confident, and more connected to what actually matters to them, both in their sport and in their lives.

We believe recovery does not require you to lose your identity as an athlete. Our goal is to empower you to become a stronger, more grounded version of yourself. Regardless of what you’re going through, our goal is to help you regain clarity, confidence and a sense of control over your life.

Our Approach

Our methods are rooted in evidence-based practices, including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). We’ll work together to build practical coping skills to manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive or harmful behaviors, and tolerate stress without turning to urges. We’ll also work together to practice flexible thought patterns and reconnect with what truly matters to you, within your sport and beyond.

Simple ideas

At Stride Counseling, therapy is collaborative, structured, and personable. We create a space where you feel understood and supported, while also being challenged to grow. You can expect honest conversations, practical tools, and a clear direction for your work in and outside of sessions.

Recovery is not about perfection. It’s about building a life that is flexible, meaningful, and aligned with who you want to be. Whether you are early in your journey or have been struggling for years, we are here to help you take the next step forward.

Lasting impact

The goal of our work is not just short-term symptom relief, but lasting, meaningful change. For athletes struggling with eating disorders and OCD, this means developing the ability to navigate pressure, uncertainty and discomfort without falling back into rigid patterns or harmful behaviors. Through skills-based work and values-driven action, you’ll learn how to respond to urges with intention, relate differently to intrusive thoughts, and build a more flexible, resilient mindset. Over time, this creates a foundation where both recovery and performance can coexist. It’s time to show up more fully in your sport, your relationships, and your life.
